10 weeks

A friend gave Josie the princess crown, shoes and jewelry. She loved it and walked around the house saying woo-woo!
Easter Sunday, both were so cute (even in tears)!

All the Paugh cousins

We are a little more than 10 weeks out from Josie's surgery. We had a follow-up visit with Dr. Franks at 9 weeks and he thought she was doing well. He said she is still healing and we should continue to notice some subtle changes. We go back in June and at that point we'll discuss next steps. While at her appointment Dr. Franks introduced us to another doctor who is interested in researching Josie's condition. He visited with us and asked us many questions about our family history and Josie's history. We are excited to have his interest and are praying he finds some answers.

Sadly, we've suffered a tragic loss in our family. A few weeks ago my sister-in-law Chelsey died suddenly of an anurysm. She and my brother Joe had just celebrated their first anniversary and were expecting their first child. She absolutely loved kids and couldn't wait to be a mom. She is holding Josie in the above photo, both kids adored her. She will be so greatly missed. Love you Chels!
